Beth and Mark: EF Friends Forever

Beth and Mark: EF Friends Forever

Beth ran into her next career—literally. Mark and Beth were workout buddies who would go for runs together during lunch. When a position opened up at EF Education First, Mark knew Beth would be a perfect fit. Now, Mark and Beth can work out together at EF Boston’s exercise classes—some of which Mark teaches himself. Mark is the EF Educational Tours VP of Business Operations, and Beth is the EF Educational Tours U.S. Accounting Manager. Here’s what Mark had to say about Beth:

Q: How did you know Beth was the right fit for EF?
A: When we met for the first time on our run along the Esplanade, the conversation just flowed. Beth had so much passion for everything she spoke about—and she could even talk while running! She so was easy to talk to, I knew she would fit in perfectly at EF.

Q: What is your best EF memory or moment with Beth?
A: The early morning Walden Pond swims we did together as Beth was training for her half Ironman.

Q: What EF core value does Beth display most?
A: Nothing is impossible. She sets her mind to something and she gets it done.

Q: How does Beth make EF a better place to work?
A: Her positivity, passion, and drive helps motivate everyone around her.

Q: What’s your favorite thing about working at EF?
A: Favorite means one thing but I am giving you two—I can’t choose! I love the way I am constantly being challenged to learn new things, and I also love working with amazing, driven people every day.

Q: What’s a key piece of advice you would give to a new EFer?
A: Always drive forward, and remember to have fun while doing so.
